Big Ball Orchestra

Big Ball Orchestra

27 musicians + conductor (6 violins, 2 violas, 2 violoncellos, contrabass, 2 flutes, oboe, 3 clarinets / saxophones, 2 horns, 2 trumpets, trombone, harp, guitar / banjo, piano, 2 percussionists)

The configuration of the Big Ball Orchestra is that of the classical Viennese ball orchestra expanded by “jazz instruments”. All musical genres, the Viennese dance music, the great musical and swing arrangements, the hits of the 1920s and 1930s as well as Latin American dances can be performed in full orchestral sound with this ensemble.

This instrumentation is especially perfectly suited for the festive premises of the great Viennese ballrooms, such as the Hofburg or the ballroom of the City Hall.
