Clarinet / Saxophone
Peter Joyce studied clarinet and saxophone with Ciaran Wilde, clarinet at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, with Finten Sutton, and composition, arranging and conducting at Trinity College Dublin.
In 2016 he came to Vienna, where the studied conducting with Mark Stringer, composition with Wolfgang Suppan and clarinet with Heinz-Peter Linshalm at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. He has been working as a freelance instrumentalist with engagements as clarinettist, saxophonist and flutist throughout Europe, as soloist and orchestral musician with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, RTÉ Concert Orchestra, the Ulster Orchestra among others, collaborating with renowned musicians such as Placido Domingo, Andrea Bocelli and many others.
He is a strong advocate of new music and has conducted and performed countless premieres and other pieces by contemporary Irish and international composers.
